Website Review and Suggestions

Hi all,

We recently launched DevBlog.co, it's a community based site with tutorials on both design and programming and offers an area for Quesitons & Answers as well. Please let us know what you think about it and any likes/dislikes you may have.

Generally nice design. The list of latest design why is there only 5? When it counts to 10 on the left side! I guess it is because it is very new, if so, please put a LOT of effort into getting content. It will really help you gain a lot of traffic from google, and grow your community.

Also I don't understand why the contribute step has to be so difficult and you need to sign up. It would be nice if you could just post your tutorial right away where you fx. just put up your email and name, and you will get registered and if the tutorial is accepted you will have your account created. Just limit the steps as much possible for the user to get the community growing easily and painless for the user.

Also the part about grammar and spelling, might be too much. Of course really bad grammar is not going to be accepted but a few grammar mistakes, etc, it would be nice if you just quickly correct it before showing it on your website.

Else it looks good.

Thanks for reviewing the site!

As far as the lack of content, we're currently working on both add more tutorials for design and programming as well as enhancing features for the contributor portion of the site to make it more of a community driven site.

Each contributor will have a their own page displaying a bio, articles they've sumbitted and a way to contact that person. So if a user chooses, they can follow different writers they like.

We'll take note on making the contributor sign up process fewer steps, and also make the grammar requirements less strict.
