"People are looking for something unique and different these days." How do you know? Did you ask them all?
There are more ways to differentiate from the competition than a funky looking website. Most "people" cannot discern a good looking site from a great one, especially those whose only experience in artistic creation is the doodle pad next to the phone.
As far as web design business sites in Thailand are concerned, I would think pixelinteractive is in the cream of the crop. The overall design reminds me of css gallery sites, the goal being to showcase the projects displayed on the site, not the site its self.
heat33, the site does have some technical issues that need to be addressed. As CSM mentioned, fix the errors and get the site x-browser compatible. Check out what the homepage looks like in FF3.5:-
