Hey guys,

recently i've been working on my new portfolio, the main goal was to showcase my work in a clean way.

I'm also thinking about adding a little footer with some quick contact details / social media stuff.

The link to my website is: http://www.woutr.be/portfolio/
(Sorry if it loads kinda slow, blame my webhosting)

What do you mean with "good template"? I made this myself you know.

About the menu, the main reason is because i see no reason to add more pages.
My contact information will be in the footer, along with some social media stuff.

I love the graphics and the minimalistic design, however I think the "Load More Projects" button only works well if the visitor comes to your website for the first time. Otherwise you should have another way to make it easier to go through your portfolio without clicking the button again.

Clean and simple.
It's ok, nothing fancy.

But the code is not valid. Wrong usage of base tag when you code in XHTML Strict mode.

@CSM, thanks, I was going for something clean.
And thanks for letting me know about the validation error, I forgot target="_blank" ins't XHTML strict anymore, but it's fixed.

@handofra, I agree with you, i'm thinking about using swfaddress for directly linking to a project

@mlovet1, thanks

I think he means the fact that you state in your footer that "Espresso was used for all the coding"

Which would lead some people to believe that you're using a template or that this really isn't your work, just your knowledge of how to click buttons on a program. (Just stating what "I coded this with a program" implies, I mean no ill will or offense)

Overall, clean and simple design. The color palette is really nice, the greens are fantastic. I don't know why I don't like the maroon, and I usually like shades of red, including maroon. I just feel like it gives the site an overall "army" feel, if that makes sense? Not green enough to be a Christmas combination and just red enough to be Manly but sort of military.

I know you dont want to add additional pages, but a Contact Form and About Me page are pretty essential. Contact Forms are REALLY good ways for people to get in touch with you, set up appointments, inquire about prices (you might want a Price page) etc. You kind of have like a paragraph "about you", but can you really sum up what you do in a paragraph? Don't sell yourself short.

PS: the Cup of Coffee project is pretty impressive and so are tomatoes!!!

Really very good indeed. Really clean, professional design, well executed, really easy to use and understand, and the simplicity of the design really shows off the high standard of your work.

It seems like a silly point, but your footer is quite flat feeling, it would be really cool if the social media icons, for example, were full colour on roll-over.

But really, very good site, I love the simplicity of it. Bravo!

The only thing i can see wrong with your site is the top words that say wouter de loose, those letters could be a little darker because right now they are kinda light on that background color you have, otherwise the site looks good.

Good job W0utR.

Maybe change "Espresso was used..." to "Espresso editor was used..."
