Website Review and Suggestions

looks pretty good but i don't like the all black background it just makes your page hard to read and hard on the eyes... but besides that i like the layout

I think it looks great. The only thing that I would say could be improved is that you need a clear call to action on the front page. What do you want people to do when they get there? Make it obvious. I would suggest a large button that's a different color than green with text that says 'Take a Tour' or 'Free Quote' or something to that effect.

Very nice site indeed. Very good, organised structure, very user friendly, brilliantly executed.

Not much more I can say about it really, absolutely brilliant.

Thanks all for your comments - I shall certainly take them on board. I've been wondering whether it needs a stronger call to action somewhere and I think VirtuosiMedia's comment has spurred me on to do something about it!

It looks awesome! Very clean, usable. Really liking the outline rollover fx.

The only thing that is a little confusing is the sub-heading (white text). The buttons from 'graphic' on to the right show "Leeds Yorkshire" after the heading.

Is that indicating that these services are only available locally? If so, maybe a | to divide 'Graphic Design | Leeds Yorkshire' or something like that.

I love it, well done.

My 2c on the design front is that I don't like the grey vertical bars under the main nav, they detract from that beautiful green. I also don't like how the 'CREATIVE' in the logo anti-aliases, the font is too narrow for the aa (I'm viewing with a full hd screen).

I would take out the grey vertical bars and lower the main nav so you can scale up the logo to include the height freed up after loosing the vertical bars.

I like the structure of the website and the colors. I think the black with the green is a real good eye catcher. It looks really very professional.

I couldn't navigate by keyboard, you've fallen for the classic error of applying outline: none to A tags and not offering alternative styling for :focus links.

Also you're mostly using the same text colour for links and plain text - that's a big accessibility fail.

The design looks good and all. But there is not anything that keeps me on the site, it was all bunched up, and just to much stuff on your front page. You should make it very simple so that users are able to navigate through the site and be attracted to it.

Metho - I've taken your advice and lost the grey bars on all pages except the our-work section where we need it for the secondary nav. It's definitely an improvement as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for highlighting this :-)

I've also looked at the anti-aliasing on the logo and have scaled it up and increased the weight of the font on the creative too. This has made an improvement, but I'd be very grateful if you can check it again on your HD screen to see if the problem you flagged up has been resolved.

paintedcorner - I've sorted out the headings problem you highlighted by rejigging the layouts so the page titles now read correctly (without being localised). This has helped across the site, so thanks again for your feedback.

blue-dreamer - I'm working on the keyboard nav & outline issues you flagged up and I'm hoping this can be sorted in the next release. Thanks for your input.
