Hi

Im having a bit of trouble with conversions on my website, I was getting traffic from ppc and used 2 or 3 worded key words and was bidding on auto up to a maximum of £1. I was spending between £30 and £50 a month but conversions were low or non existent.

Ive re designed the site and wanted some opinions, I've been told it looks like it was built by a DIYer and I wanted a professional look not I've built this myself.

I've considered changing the large contact us image and save money image to something a bit different, maybe a collage of images relating to electrical fire and security then the collage moves into a flash image showing the pictures in full?

I appreciate any opinions

What about the landing pages?

Or are you going to tell us that the very low key, low impact "home" page was your PPC landing page?

The "piggybank" image is certainly somewhat "naff" (to say the least) especially if your target market is business customers.

For the business market using "money saving" as a sales pitch is usually unsuccessful. Certainly going in with the a fairly low priced tender can get you the contract, but pitching to companies as "money saving" therefore "cheap" gives the wrong impression.
ie: Either you are cheap skates (materials or labour) or you think they are cheap skates.

For "house bashing" jobs, pitching as "money saving" can be helpful if you are aiming at that market.

yes, The "piggybank" image is certainly somewhat "inapt" when your target market is business customers.

the page you're sending all these visitors to should connect with them. they want to buy something, that should be the opening sentance - we have what you want to buy and here's why you should buy from us. it's also a little complicated to read.

Yep get rid of the piggy bank and make the image with the 2 guys holding the envelope actualy link to your "Contact Us" page.

Have to agree with others about the money saving as appearing cheap to business its the other way round when dealing with the public as they want cheap.

Also have some images of what your selling not just stock pics, clients like to see what they are buying.
