Hi,

I developed my site as part of learning web programming.
It is a game site with simple and easy to use design,
and many handpicked quality games.

what can be improved?

There are a few things that I would change. Firstly the colours don't quite work together. I would have a quick read up on colour theory or use something like kuler to pick your colours.

The ads that you have on the page have square corners but main content has rounded ones. I would remove the rounded corners and space out the purple/blue boxes.

Have a good look at your competitiers and the subtle design that makes a difference.

I would really tighten up the boxes you have on there. There's too much padding top and bottom, they look kind of odd.

For a first site, it's very impressive!
A bit simplistic, but still good. You probably don't need the oversized font you have on some pages (about).

The Google ad on the side for Swanson Vitamins won't be much help to you. Hopefully they will get it sorted out at google.

You might want to change the copyright date on the bottom as we're almost at the end of 2010.

I learned a lot from your helpful feedback and enjoyed your compliments!
I started to work on improving the points you mentioned,
and already removed the empty spaces.

I think you need to use a good web template for your website.and you have told this is a part of learning programming but it looks like only a game website so please make it more pretty and it takes too time in loading.Are you using a free webhost?

No, my host is hostmonster. I tested it on several computers, and it loads pretty quick.

I use my own template, but I keep improving it.

The loading speed is decent over here in China. I like the theme. The layout is a bit messy in my eyes but it's kind of okay for a gaming site I guess.

I tried "The Terminal", and there was a pop-up or some content that got stuck under the game on the left side (using Opera).

Wondering if sites like this work from an SEO point of view...

i want to say the keywords , something wrong here , i think you had better change them to phrase not single word . if you have some question ,you can see more games site about this , you will get learned more , have a try .

i like your theme "game to enjoy", which give us a relaxed joy.
Purple represents fantasy, game site with purple as the background, it is very successful.
but i do not like your free avatar,they are not suitable game image.
