Is there a reason for choosing pink for your colour scheme? It's quite a turn-off, in my opinion.
The header image needs quite a bit of work. If you don't have any graphics design skills, and little time to learn, you might want to replace it with text.
You need to look at your site's overall information hierarchy i.e. what are the most important features of the page, how do you show that. At the moment everything seems of equal importance and makes it look confusing and too cluttered.
Use more white space to give balance.
the header needs work. try adding images to some of your articles and maybe videos too. also your login, sign up, search, and close tabs on the top right side do not work.

As for the theme, you've got plenty of input already. Pink may work for some. As for me I could live with pink if the site content was great and layout was alright.
You got some work to do but keep learning. My sites don't look fantastic either, but sure looked much worse when I started. Just improve a little step by step
I like the color scheme, but I am a girl so maybe that is why
I would simplify your logo though - put it on a transparent background or at least the same color of the header.
My other question is what are your article submitting requirements or rules for using the articles? I didn't see a page anywhere that covered that stuff - that's usually the first thing I look for before signing up and submitting articles somewhere.
