Website Review and Suggestions

Hey everyone, we just launched our new redesign for our site, so I would love to get some feedback on it. We're a web design company that wants to focus on making business websites. We also want to provide resources for businesses, developers, and designers.

Any suggestions or comments on design, functionality, usability, content, graphics, copy, or anything else are all welcome.

Looks great - and you have some awesome tutorials too

The only thing that is missing is some sort of portfolio that shows off your latest work or finished projects - other than that wouldn't change a thing!

Just a couple align issues... For instance, I'd align the images down the left side with the left 'border' but as it is there is whitespace in the image file itself that would need to be removed/accounted for.

I'd definitely suggest adding a link to your portfolio in at least the footer though.

Looks profesional to me, I definitely like the logo!
Should fix the w3c html errors (9)
Should also look into etags and browser caching, both easy to fix from the .htaccess

Looks great to me no complaints whatsoever, if I had to think of something to complain about id say make it more unique!

It looks very professional and conveys the image you want from a web design firm. I like the content and layout...two thumbs up!

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I made the link to our portfolio page more clear and I also fixed most of the validation errors. I'm looking into your other suggestions as well. @handeyman (or anyone else) - What do you feel is not unique about our site?

It might be helpful to tell people what types of web software that you can do your design work on. Simply saying that you can code in PHP and JavaScript and that you can work with with XML, HTML, and CSS may not mean to you what it means to somebody looking for a web designer.

For example, they may read that and wonder if you can work with Wordpress or Joomla (which you probably can). My recommendation would be to dispel the doubt and tell them early on, graphically if possible.

Great looking website imho.

I can see that you are doing well already (Alexa count)

My only comment is on the home page on the middle right you say "We Are on the Web" which is a bit lame - we all knew that already.

Its good to see that you show some indicative prices.

I will check out your sample business sites.

Nice site! However the first thing I noticed was the big tooltip that follows you around on the banner that says 'Visit out home page'. It's kind of distracting, for me (I like to wave my mouse around when I'm on a website, but I still read). I'd make it smaller, in my opinion.

Other than that the design is incredible, I could never hope to accomplish that caliber of design. I've tried, but failed. I'm a developer, I guess you could say :P

however, i don't like that when you hover the mouse over the bigg navigation buttons (bussines etc.) they "fall" down and the other buttons "shrink"
