Website Review and Suggestions

jugglechainsaws.com is a site that I've created to record my attempt to play every NES game released in the United States in roughly chronological order.

I used gray, white, black, and red for the colors because those are the colors on the NES. I know it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but it fits the subject rather well.

I know the logo at the top needs work. Probably going to start from scratch for that.

I went with a magazine style layout because I wanted people to get a quick view of the latest posts. One thing I don't like about it is that I don't think it's obvious enough that if the visitor clicks the image or post title that they'll go t the real post. I'm looking to see if it's possible to continue using the WordPress excerpt feature and still have something like the Read More link.

I'd really love to hear any thoughts people have. Good things are great, but I'd love it even more if you let me know about things I can improve. Seriously, rip the thing apart.

I can't say anthing negative about your site. I tested the pages, feed, and search - it all works great! I LOVE the content and the extra effort you seem to have put into the length of your write-ups.

I have played games way back pre nes (atari) - and I have some favorites, of course - zelda being an addiction at some point. I did not know about the inside game that you mentioned here, either by beating the game or using the name Zelda - you get a different game play version (more difficult).

My only complaint is I could have read more on some topics, but I'm amazed at this work and I hope you dont decide to abandon the project - it will be great in due time.

As for your theme and logos - yeah, a mag theme is suitable for that content - and as for the logo, I say LogoSchmogo because your content is interesting.

Some of my fave nes games are deja vue, princess tomato, maniac mansion, and zelda (of course!)

Very nice site, the purpose is clear and also interesting mission lol. I'll keep an eye on the progress!
No errors in the html according to w3c.
You could definitely improve scores on yslow and firebug page speed with a few simple tweeks in .htaccess if your server allows it.

The only thing that hit me right off the bat was your page heading..

"Some game(s) are worth revisiting."

Other than that, your intent is clear, and it was easy to follow even though i dont know a lot about gaming.
