Hello everybody,

I'd like to ask you for a review of my site WorkWithColor.com

You may find that I'm a fan of the HSL color space (compared
to HSB/HSV color space). The luminance of colors is another
focus of interest.

The color picker is my most recent creation.

Thank You

Pretty interesting, but not a new idea.

Boring design, quality content. You might want to improve the design, get rid of the "ethnic" on the bottom left. Any particular reason for aligning on the left?

Can you make downloadable version of the color picker?

Thank you for your feedback :-)

@ramonacole: I think the question is whether users like
the feature compostion and the functional design.
I also assume that very few people care for luminance
contrast in their designs because it's not a well known
factor. Do you think one can easily enough understand
how to use the tools?

@Bannaz: Thank you. Would be happy if it can be
useful for you :-)

@Tanya Reid: Thank you :-) I'll see how many people
ask for downloadable version ...

@pixeloazul: Yes, I need to work on the design. It's much
too functional at the moment. I thought there was something
missing at the bottom left. Haven't found anything else than
the "ethnic" yet. I thought the left-align is ok for most users
(1024 or 1280 resolution -> content is centered). I didn't want
white space on the left or a wider navigation column, hm?

@fiazio: that hurt - lol
The current one took more time than it looks.
I'll see if I get an idea to develop it further.

The color pickers look impressive, but like others have said, the template is pretty old-school web 1.0. Because there are a lot of similar sites out there, the only way to compete with them is to make it very clean and pretty. Go with a bold, web 2.0 style. Center the site for one. Use minimalist, solid colors to get that clean looks, with very large font. Have a look at how big font can improve a site: http://iconboxapp.com

Did you write the code for the color picker? Other than that the design is atrocious. You could easily make a better website with some Photoshop brushes.
