Website Review and Suggestions

Hey guys,

I've recently launched V2 of my portfolio and was hoping to get some constructive feedback. The aim was to design a site based on my passions and interests in Japanese Culture and Minimalism, whilst utilising a tight-knit grid-system (based on 960.gs).

Although it's the second version to my portfolio, it's my debut in the world of blogging. The core of the site is WordPress based with custom built handlers for the portfolio section.

I like the japanise characters from menu. You should try to give them a different color to see how is looks.

The font that you are using is a bit to small. It's hard for me to read it.

I would lighten it up a bit, very hard to keep attention and read on both of my monitors (one is slightly lighter than it should be and the other is perfectly calibrated ViewSonic).

Might be my screen resolutions and the site's font size... it looks a bit better when zoomed-in (in lower resolutions) but I would still lighten it a bit.

Your site is very attractive and you have done some very interesting work in portfolio.Also i like the elements and features you used in your about page.

Excellent!

I'm a fan of dark sites if they're done well. I really like the faint grid in the background.

I might work on the typography a bit more. Especially the body type. Just to give it a little more room to breath.

Good work. The HTML seems to be solid as well.

I love the site. It's clean and easy to access all areas of YOU. Love your "work" section and how each project is featured and explained.

Wow, thank you so much for all of your feedback guys. I'm glad to know I'm on the right track and it really means a lot to me.

The body font does need experimenting with until I get it right. May I also suggest that the site is better experienced in a webkit browser such as Chrome and Safari, but I have tried catering a tight-knit experience in the other browsers too. That's not to say it renders majorly different, just minor things here and there.

i like the simplicity of your site..easy to navigate..i like the navigation menu the most..
