Maybe pick up a copy of the Chicago Manual of Style.
The giant image and overall style seems to resemble the spammer style buy-my-ebook/viagra/diet-pills/how-to-make-web-money sites. OTOH, it's good you didn't go overboard with the stock photos like those sites do
