Website Review and Suggestions

took about 2 days to design in photoshop and 1 day code in dreamweaver.

the contact page isn't working correctly though, i would like to get some reviews on the site design and the logo. thanks

tell me what you guys think.

An improvement might be replacing the text "I design great websites" in the header with an image.

Maybe even add a background color ( nothing too dark ) when hovering over your navigation menu links.

I agree. I think this colour would do quite nicely: #B8CBFF
Kind of a lightish-blue-white.

thanks i kinda like it without the hover bg but since you guys recommend it, i added a light blue

after i design a few other sites, i might have that spot as a mini portfolio displaying my latest designs and such

I would suggest a fancier logo, "Blown" and a light background color for the page. No errors or warnings in the validator.

yea, i always validate. hmmm, since u suggested it i will try and spice up the logo. thanks for the suggestion

I like simple, clean and even minimalistic webpages but this one is too simple for me, does not present your skills in 100%. It lacks sth that would catch my eye, thus I am not fully convinced.

Site looks pretty bare, not much content. What do you plan on adding?

Your logo looks better against black.

I think it's because the two cusps you have above blown give the illusion of motion (blur).

You should add some gaussian blur to those colours (10px maybe) so it gives that feeling of movement (blown).

Not a big fan of the "its going to be a low one - trust me" ; It's a bit needy and cheap - You can word it better "Affordable rates for whatever the job" or something like that.

wow thanks for the useful info. yea i have replaced that area with a "featured project" that shows my favorite project.

The italics on the new logo is a nice touch.

Although I'm one for spacious designs - I think yours is a tad too spacious (vertically).

I think the site looks good. A recommendation would be in your portfolio to include what you did for the clients website opposed to a summary of what they do. Something like "client x wanted a website to increase sales through a different channel. I did x, y & z and within x days sales increased" or something like that.

The area "above the fold" on the landing page is pretty bland.

Think of something a bit more compelling to entice your visitors
like a thumbnail to a "feature site" that you completed or a testimonial.

I don't think highlighting the "process" is going to win much business.

You need to think about your color & text combination. A good logo is good for website.

The color with white theme is not a bad idea but it has to be some where color ful as the header is plain, that needs to be a banner with animated effect.
