Website Review and Suggestions

Hello,

I started with webdesign not so long ago, and now i've put up a site.
The site is:http://pokerinfo.horizon-host.com

I've used fixed width but i'm not so shure about it.
Is the page width okay ? Not too wide ?
And how does the color green work out, and the menu ?

i like it. it's very basic but it looks nice. only thing i would change if i were you is the logo

Thanks for your reply. I changed the 'O' of the logo. But I don't really know what to change on the logo ? Any suggestions ?

Looks a bit bland.

You should get some more images on there.
And get some SEO juice on those title tags.

for the logo you can start by changing the font. also get a better resolution poker chip

Your design is beautiful.
My suggestion is, reduce the characters of your title from 81 to 65.
YOu can also add few more information on your Meta Description Tag.

It's very minimalistic in its textual content. You appear to have decided to steer clear of:

- any in-depth research or lengthy study of the topic,
- the category of history, which could provide tomes and tomes of material for people interested in the game to engage with on your site,
- a considerably more interesting look at probability than just a list of the probability of hands,
-and who knows how much more, tournaments, results, news...

Blimey. I should end this review right here before I get any bad ideas. Personally I don't believe in getting involved in the gambling trade. I prefer boring stuff, much more reliable I believe, is boring stuff. For me, selling lino (that's the stuff you put on floors) is exciting enough.

but in pure mathematical terms i do love poker and all games of chance, naturally

btw, twd... what in HELL is "seo juice"? I bet they sell it in Lidl. It probably gives you BSE.

I'm working really hard on the content, but the first thing i'm looking at is the design. Some people said that the text size was too small, so i changed it.
But the text size does look different on Internet Explorer or Firefox. Do you guys think it works out like this ?

Its a good idea to use a "style reset" like the Eric Myers stylesheet at the beginning of your CSS to calibrate cross browser differences.

I added more content, but the language is dutch so you can't read it. I posted here mainly for the design to be reviewed.
Could you be more specific what exactly looks 'simple' and what a better layout would be ?

The width is fine. I like the green color. The menu looks too much like the rest of the text. Try a different font style maybe.

Website is looking ok, why you left blank space at bottom, try to add unique and fresh contents there.. Anyways layout and color combination is good...
