I personally find that META work is useful,
|
For what and which meta elements.
And this is NOT taking the thread "off topic" you proffered advice to the OP that would in no way shape or form assist in the website offered for review, neither would it make any useful contribution for the site as a community.
And to answer why they exist at all:
They are not there purely for "webmasters" to use
meta, when used in the context of documents means "information about" and the meta elements exist to give the document author a means of inentifying the scope, validity period, author, publish date and anything else that can give machine readers sufficient information to categorise or otherwise document the existence of the fuller data with the document itself.
Some meta elements are in general use by some user agents.
some meta schemes ( Dublin Core for instance) have a predefined set of elements to be used as a standard for cataloguing and profiling documents that exist on the internet.
Other meta elements schemes have been defined/created by companies purely for their own system, the Vancouver Webpages (VW96) is one such example.
So to say "meta work" without any form of clarification not especially "helpful".
