For me the layout is fine, but the background color brown and and pale blue or green doesn't look pleasing. You mentioned the logo and graphics will change, that's good.
I can read the text but I also would mention to increase the size of the text.

My thoughts were on people who have vision problems, this doesn't apply to the senior community only. The other day I seen what appeared to be a 5 year old child with very strong glasses, so young, my heart went out to the little one.
Well I did read the text with a pair of weak glasses, so there!

Great feedback guys, thanks.
I have made the text slightly bigger now (a whole 1px!). I wanted the background colour to sort of match an outdoor feel, considering it's mainly a Personal Training Business, or do you think something other would suit?
again, brand and logo design still to come, but the layout is OK? understandable? easy to use etc... ?
Thanks,
Happy new year too!

Okay, the text is a little better.
The layout is all right for me now and understandable, but that could change also when you introduce new graphics, logo, colors. You are trying for earth tone colors, I have some links for you on the sage color which could help you.
Sage Green This color chart shows some nice browns to go with the sage.
Colors that go with Sage In the "Search Combo Library" type in sage.

Great, thanks. Text has been enlarged (see www.activityx.co.uk/new) and I have played with the colours, any better?

A very slight improvement, at first using your link, the website looked the same as before, until I compared Davemies graphic to the your new website changes.

What I would improve and change:
1) Logo - there is a starnge backround color of the logo. I would just remove it!
2) Recent news, I would make the font-size bigger a little bit
3) I would remove that image between the main content and main buttons!
I like The other things like colors, structure and layouts and wish you good luck,
Fokebox

Hey! The design is super cool. I was just wondering how would it look if you put in slight shadows or maybe bars between different sections. The page right now looks all blended. I guess you understand what I am trying to say here. And to me it seems as if the text under What is Activity-X? has a line height real high.
Apart from this, the website is super cool.
