Website Review and Suggestions

I know my site is terrible but please can you give suggestions to improve it

I would not call it horrible. I would rephrase that to a work in progress. First off. You need to lose all the advertisements. I can watch a 30 minute TV show and find enough advertisements for a life time. The maximum numbers of banners I would have on one page are one. It starts looking tacky and too much after that.

The header needs to have something done with it. I am throwing ideas onto a piece of paper right now. I am thinking take the border on the left-hand side and surround the whole contents with it. Take the furthest section of gray and make it approximately five px and then take the yellow and run it all the way down the side of the page. Then take the way that you have the ending to the border and the gray end it like that on the weight in the gray. If you do not understand what I am typing please e-mail, me and I will explain further. It is an idea. It is worth a shot.

The main problem i find here are the colors... you have bright colors on bright bacground and that makes the site difficult to read. you need to use contrast between surface and letters written on it...otherwise the colors picked ar good but you need to adjust the bacground to them.

Also you need to do something abou the links on pages other then starting one, they look like a mess. and a home link on home page does not work for me, check it out.

Yeah ... the colors are nasty ... I would go with some blues. Blues look great on most websites. Also I would limit your ads at the bottom. It really makes the site look junky. You can have ads on your site but limit it to one or two and have them in different areas of the site rather than all at the bottom.

Apparently Amal you are busy renovating the site, but what I see looks real nice. The one thing that caught my eye right off was the nice welcome and to come on in.

really appreciate all the suggestions. I have removes the banners from the index page ( except google because that has relevant content and sort of frames the page). Deleted one of the banners and moved another to a different page ( the news room) where there is much more content and therefore the banner is less visible.

BHNsales dint quite follow your ideas fully but have implemented some including letting the yellow run down the left side of the page.

still working on the site and will try to implement all the suggestions that appear useful

Have been making some changes to my site and i think it has improved a bit. Got rid of some nasty colors that i had used earlier. There is still a lot more work to be done though. i dont know much html and have to guess my way through.

The nasty colors of my avatar are a result of a fractal art program. It has a mind of its own an i dont have full control over what it produces. if it produces a better image i shall replace this one for sure :-)

good work , try making a nice menu and somehow centering the whole thing. Cause on my machine it looks like theres too much blank work to the right hand side. if it was centered you would loose that feel. Good work

Well the main problem I would say is the colours like yellow, grey, green they dont really match so I would recomend the you change the colour scheme and also you could try maybe a rollover affect on the menu

It is the colours they hurt my eyes, maybe tone them down a bit.

Needs a lot of improvement but it depends upon your knowledge of Web Design. Anyway, it's a nice start.

First of all...

Get the ads to match your site. Grey background and black text or something.

Second, put a border in the right side to fully complete the layout. And position the table in the middle
