First things first - I'm rubbish at visuals, I'm a lot better at backend stuff... but what strikes me as I look at your site is that it's very busy - you have a lot of text at the top that is is a little 'messy' - the fact that you're using bold in places just leads the eyes all over the place and is a little confusing... I don't think people would even read this - I think the assesment box would be better at the top in its place.
Also, you have a lot of links on the front page: wouldn't it be better if you categorised them so that there were fewer on this page but people could drill-down to the area that they are interested in?
Apart from this it's a great site!
