Website Review and Suggestions

I have almost finished the design of my blog, I will post an article a week and it covers all aspects of web design, I have a handful of articles on their already (well 2). There are still some major issues in IE, please ignore those for now! - I would appreciate your critique on the design?

IE issues aside (which I'm not going to comment on because you said not to), I'm not a fan of the design and more importantly, the concept.

I just don't like the pink colour that's being used. Yeah, I'm a guy, but...well, it's pink, dammit! The only guy that could ever pull off pink was Bret Hart (and that's only because Bret Hart is freakin' cool).

I'm not really digging the font or the relative lack of contrast either (I find it a bit hard to read.) Either make the font lighter, the background darker, or both.

But your biggest issue, having read the content you have so far, is the concept and content. There's nothing wrong in it, other than that it's been parroted left, right and center without much difference in the wording. You gotta be ORIGINAL, man!

It's simply my web design blog, the design brief is to simply to concentrate on content, and i havent done a white on black design before! I do have reservtions on the contrast.

The site seems very slow, and it is a bit hard to read because of the color. A little better contrast might help. The subject matter is great- keep working at it.
