Not sure it's a new concept exactly. And design wise I wouldn't say it offers anything more than other directories. But then neither does mine so I'm a fine one to talk.
But my point was it doesn't really have any imact IMHO.

Site looks fine, maybe a little too much text/content on the main page, as scrolling would be required by almost every visitor... Is this a fun project or money-making? This type of site would go against a few heavywheights, marketing something like this will be very very difficult. Good luck.

Simple, clean design and I do like the icons but as others have suggested - it doesn't really offer anything that other web portals already offer, and the design is also very similar to so many.

I also feel the page overloaded with information. Perhaps keep the most popular categories at the top and have some simple AJAX that will allow visitors to reveal more on other category titles.

I like overall design.

But I do not like colors on top menu.

Black on blue is not very good I think.

And also, search button could be better.

You have a very nice design, except for the logo. It could be improved.

I like your concept, especially your use of small graphics and various colors, one thing i didnt like was your menu buttons, I think with the refreshing changes in logo and search category icons you could also do a variation of the menu, maybe some simple rounded buttons. It doesn't look professional, it feels like one of those generic pop-up windows that I want nothing todo with... Some of the css/java is cool though.

It is a little plain, but I like it... Sometime less is better.. I have seen some sites that are really cluttered. But I like your site.. cool
