Website Review and Suggestions

I used a tutorial for the graphics and an modified an external JS file for more efficient media embedding. Other than that it's me. I'm mainly hoping to have someone criticise my stylesheet:

Sorry. It's working now. I was just redoing the directory structure. All is functional.

The buttons are WAY tooo big, make them smaller and try to make everything blend in abit more, looks too in your face and un-professional.

Some people tell me the opposite.
Also, If I shorten the buttons then the banner looks too tall, which people already say looks too tall.
Some glorify the design and tell me how awesome it is.
Some tell me it's good but too simplisitic and could use a little pizzazz.
Others tell me the opposite and quote the "KISS" acronym.
With so many contradictory opinions, I decided to be lazy and keep it.
No matter what a design looks like, opinions are rarely in synchronization (unless in the same forum).
You may very well be right. I have designed it the best I could accounting input from multiple places (and I took yours into account).
In conclusion, I appreciate the generosity but I am more just looking for CSS revision advice rather than aesthetics critique.
