usually when i create (if you can call it that) a site...I just do a background image and use html and stuff to add in buttons where i want them...
but i've been thinking to start a new site, a professional site lately and so need a better layout lol
anyways lemme know what you think? the box in the left hand corner would be where my ad rotation would go and the two smaller boxes in the menu would be for like affilates and referal type stuff
That template is good for the first time. But you have to improve a lot to get into the professional template. You can use the templates shown in: http://webmasters-forums.com/Free-Pr...ates-f-46.html as a reference and can own them and understand more to make a professional template. Anyway, nice work done.

i like the color
the design is good
it appears something quite different to other sites.
that may cause your visitors to show more interest
what is the blue ball? i think it is like the globe.
well done
i set it up as a test page....to kinda see what it'll look like when i get my site going lol
please take a look and lemme know what you think
ignore the frappr map, i was just too lazy to write up some bs and well the map was the exact size of what i needed....it's going to be where the site news, updates, and info will go eventually
i still need to find an automatic ad rotation script that allows javascript in it, but for now a scrolling div will do!
ok ur template is good but what site u going to make it depends largely on this .... will the template goes with subject of ur site ..... and just my feelin if u making a pro site keep it simple ....
I'm on dialup and it loaded really slow. The graphics are too large and look bulky at 1024X768. They would never work at 600X800.
Try making the graphic elements slimmer, with less bevel and more elegant curves. Also optimize or slice up the larger stuf.
I tried a version 2 lol...tryin to get a bit more of a mulit-display friendly design...however i coded it using divs so that kinda blew that idea out the window lol best viewed at 1280 x 1024
actually i was intending on using it for a sort of webmasters forum but for link exchanges, networking, ect all free advertising, kinda a peer-to-peer webmasters advertising forum....well non-profit i guess...i'm not gonna be demandin ppl to pay access lol....there will be a donate button and google/other ads to help cover the cost of the domain/hosting lol
It's ok though the second version does look kind of nasty on my monitor... and the first version is really pixelated. But practice makes perfect, so keep practicing.
