Hi Everyone
Can I please get your opinions on my web design site, and any suggestions you may have to increase value/interest to visitors, and also search engine rankings?
Thanks!!

From a design point of view I had a quick look and it seems fine to me, although I'm new at this game also! Perhaps from a business model point of view you won't be taken too seriously with your logo and name, but hey, there's a niche for everyone and a non-threatening image might just hit the spot!

Thank you Lol999. I kind of thought that too about the logo/name, and was actually about to change it, but then I started to get tons of work, and some people have told me that they love the cute little angel-go figure.
What I'm really looking for, I guess, are suggestions as to what I might add; also first impressions, and I thank you for sharing your thoughts with me. I don't really need to know "what's wrong" with it, as I seem to be able to make the house payments just fine from the work it brings in
Of course, if anyone feels a desire/need to critique, feel free, I love new ideas.

I also had a look just now. The site is fine. Pink isn't my color of choice. The site does seem well designed.
I don't see a problem with the name. I think you might be able to do better for the image. A classic or classy angel. That particulat image is what I would call "cutesy"
As for the search engines, create something you can give away. A really simple template or css file. Let your imagination work here. The more you give away the times you will be found. Of course back links from the sites you design is also an excellent source of traffic.
You have taken a convesational tone with the copy on your site. I tend to like that approach. Some may not. Only you can decide if the customers you like working with like that style or not. After all is said and done this is a "sales site" and must reach the intended customer.

Thank you, Colbyt. I have been thinking of a new image for the angel, something along the lines of what you said, but on the other hand, I don't want it to start looking all religious. The color was...hmmm...not sure why I chose pink, it used to be like a dark forest green...as for the conversational tone, that's just me, and I've also discovered that it seems to put people at ease before they even contact me. The giveaway idea is good, something I'll definitely look into. I appreciate your comments, thank you again.

At the end of the day with your conversational approach and cutesy image you aren't likely to attract any big corporate accounts but hey, if it's bringing in the green that's all that matters!

I agree about the angel, maybe something a bit more elegent and I find the logo too bright and the font a bit hard to read. I would also make the link to "the websites you've designed" and bit more prominent and easy to find. People may also expect a word like portfolio (I've even searched for that).
Overall it's a nice clean site, fast loading with good use of space.

Thank you, borzoid, I've been looking for another angel image to use. Arial is hard to read...? As for the link being changed to "Portfolio"-I'll definitely get to that, it does seem a bit hidden the way it is, yes? The logo being too bright...the pink. Yeah. The more I look at it the more I don't really care for it after all. Guess I'm starting to move away from the "cutesy" look. I just thought the angel was adorable (reminded me of my daughter-I did name the site for her), but that just goes to show what happens when you let personal emotions play too big a part in it. I appreciate your comments, thank you very much.

Hi angel,
I visited your website and my first impression of your website is that it is really girly...although you have a great logo! I would change the background color and the menus on the right are a big NO-NO! Put them on the left or underneath your logo. I hope your target audience is women, most probably girls or church folks. You also have good content other than that nice job overall.

yeah...really REALLY girly, sort of smacks you upside the head, doesn't it? Maybe I'll change it to a more neutral color...but then, I like pretty colors...
It seems though a change may be in order for the color scheme, and also the angel. As for the menu, jeez, I've had that, over time, on the left, on the top, condensed, in a tree, everything-this has actually proven to be the best. So much for usability testing studies, eh? Thanks for your time and comments, myworksweb, much appreciated

lol i was hoping to look some barbies and teddybears on some other page on ur site ....
site is cool looking absolutely different from web designin pro sites i have visited ... pink colour is suiting ur site .... its going perfectly with the logo ....
but what i felt if i was ur costmer that ur pressing to much on low price ....
moreover i think the no of links in ur menu are far to much ..... i think u should work on them its like forcing urself on costmers like u can put links to testimonials and awards on about me webpage ..... right side menu ..... either add menus on both side or on left ....
in the end do what u like never listen to others ....
best of luck

Barbies and teddy bears-lol. Cute.
Think I mention the price too much? Hmmm...will look into that. But then...I get a lot of business from people who ARE looking for a low price.
And I think you may have something there about the links. This is really working though the way it is now, but maybe I can "tweak" it a bit. You never know, that may work just as well...
I appreciate you taking the time to check out the site, thank you.

Hi Angels, I was talking about the gothic calligraphy font you are using on your logo. Maybe it's the pink and in a darker color it would be easier to read (that pink is almost painful ). Your making progress and the hardest part of that is to see and accept ideas from others. So many folks won't accept change.

Yeah, probably the pink, because I think it may be easier to read now. I got rid of all the pink (WHAT was I thinking when I made it PINK??) and changed the logo a little bit. I really like that font on the logo, so I don't want to change that till I get sick of looking at it. I see what Ultra means also about emphasizing the low price, I tried to sort of look at it through "new eyes" and I'm thinking ok, maybe I should tone that down a little bit as well. I appreciate all your comments more than you know, from all of you, thank you so much for helping me to see this in a fresh perspective. Is it looking better now?
