Website Review and Suggestions

Hullo!
I would like you guys to look at our site and tell me what you think. Well the site itself is a web portal, Yahoo style, although it is limited to one country only. As in, we made it for our country Uganda only, so if you dont find something you expect to find, dont be surprised. The main idea is providing locally relevant content for our surfers that they can relate to. The site offers everything from a search engine, free emails, chat, sms, personals, photos and on and on. Its not new actually it has been around for almost one and a half years now, but I just wanted to find out what guys here think. The site is written mainly in Php and Perl and runs on a MySQL backend.
Give your feedback on scope of the site, design, relevance and other stuff. Thanks in advance

Love the idea... The concept is solid and will surely be a highly hit site for your area. I agree however with MMS... the site is really dated in appearance. If I just stumbled on to it, I would get the impression that the site is not maintained and has been abandoned.

Just try some updated graphics, overlays and the like . . . I think it will take off!
