Hi i own www.simplelance.com we opened our doors about 4 weeks ago but our members are only trickling in we were hoping for more activity's by this time.

There is quite alot of forum websites around like this now, and i just think that if people are going to a website forum and seeing nothing happening, i think they get bored of it and look else were.

You're right frofi the competition is tough and i am currently facing this i am having trouble getting sign-ups but i hope to get good search engine positions soon and enough traffic to climb to the top.

The only thing that turns me and many others away is the lack of activity. You need to increase the activity in your forums by posting yourself and also getting friends and family to help you out or by hiring some posters.

I did hire paid posters but the quality of the posts were poor, I will however begin posting more myself and try to make the forum look more active.
