If that is your first site you are on a good track...I would remove the intro page and just send your visitors to the content.

Remember the avg web user only spends about 30 seconds on a site if they don't find what the want in that amount of time they are gone forever.

Good effort! If you want to keep the intro, do it with Flash.

Sorry, but I think it looks horrible.

1. There are too many animations, and it takes way to long to load (i have broadband) The logo thing on the home page is 2MB, that is way too big.

2. Most pages break in Firefox

3. Looks very old

4. Too busy, keep it simple

5. What did you use to make this site? Code isnt web standard ect.

Okay . . . if this is a first go around, then you are going to be just fine...

With a bit of tweaking, this can be a great site.

Lets get started:

First, I would trash the textured background and go with a solid color.

As mentioned above, I would trash the animated gifs on the site . . . they are distracting and accomplish very little . . .

You really need to preview the site in various browsers . . . some browsers view sites differently. In firefox, your content pages break up and look off...

I suggest that you use a simple CSS based layout and plug your information into it . . . then come here and ask specfic questions on how to acheive an effect you are wanting... This site http://www.glish.com/css/ has several easy to manipulate layout that are CSS Validated. This http://www.glish.com/css/7.asp layout is pretty good for your needs!

Additionally, I would kill the fancy fonts! Use a good clean (easy to read) web-font.

Good luck . . . I will keep a watch on this thread for ya...

Change the banner,
dont use too much flashy stuff,
use a bright background,
your links dont work,

Do those plus some content and come back for more feedback.

Cheers,

The first thing that I saw when visiting the site was the animated gifs. Not good at all they should not even be there. The home page simply says "welcome" no need for that. Choose a more meaningful page and use that as the homepage. You don't see cnn.com saying "welcome".

Most of the menu items are empty Javascript buttons that do nothing when clicked. They should at least bring the user to a page with the sub-menu as links. How will users with no JavaScript get around the site?

Lastly, the site failded HTML 4.1 validation with over 40 errors. Not to mention the lack of a doctype. Maybe it wasn't meant to be HTML 4.1?

All the animations are definately annoying and the home page should say something about what this site's purpose is.

It looks like a personal website from the 90s. Flashy gifs are old fashion since 9 years ago, same with texture background.

Try to use less 'free_stuff" things.
