Website Review and Suggestions

Please review this site I just finished. I need some constructive criticism before I present the final product to my client. It is a local charity organisation.
They don’t care much about interactivity, so please, only design and layout suggestions.

I really like the mirror effect on your navigation. . .

Will your client be okay with the firefox logo being so dominant?

Other than that, I am not seeing anything that really needs change...

make the links on top more visible.

I'll exchange the FF logo for a gray one. I've put it there to please my girlfriend. She likes strong colours. Thanks for pointing it out.

You have a typo in the third paragraph "Thiswe achieve by" should be "This we achieve by".

The page passes W3c validation. Great job!

I've made some changes after heavy criticism from another forum. No more icons, faster background image download, beautiful new home-made Google search button

and larger fonts in the nav bar.

I would make the logo brighter and sharper. Not sure I understand the symbolism used on the "I" but do think it should stand out more.

The "i" stands for IRIS. Since iris is a round shape or a part of the eye, I made it look like there is a symbolic eye within the letter "i". The charity also watches over the needy, so i thoght it was a good idea to do it that way.

Would, please, an experienced web designer review this site? Everyone here seem to like it but I've got some heavy criticism from another forum by people who know what they are talking about.

I mean no disrespect to borzoid and others that reviewed the site and gave me their opinions. I value them all.

First of all, I just want to state that I feel the site, as is, gets the job done. But, since you would like some criticism, here I go. Keep in mind these are just my opinions. The images that you have on the right side, tacky. The site looks so clean untill you notice the right side. Other then some spelling and grammatical errors, the site is fine.
