Here are my few humble comments:

The page is not centering . . . there is a larger justification on the right than on the left.

The copyright image in the footer is really hard to read . . . is there a reason you are using an image instead of text?

I am on a fairly high speed connection, and the site loads a bit slow (not extremely slow, but maybe slow enough to lose a customer or two)

Your main navigation menu looks good . . . except that the color shades are really similar making the smaller text a bit hard to read . . . maybe just try a little more contrast in the colors.

Finally, I would attempt to keep the layout between the sites sections very similar... It feels like I am jumping to a new website when I visit a category in the main menu....

Hope some of these help . . . building a site as large as the one you are working on can be quite cumbersome... Good luck ... looks good!

If you are referring to the watermark on the product images, then no it is not dark enough . . . to be honest I did not even notice them on the thumbnails until you asked....

One more thing, you are doing what I was doing . . . and got fussed at alot for it...
You are using absolute positioning for everything on the site!

This works, but creates some problems in certain browsers and can make the page not resize properly for different resolutions.

One thing I did was broke the page up horizontally into slices with my stylesheet. Then I could center my content. Then I woul duse relative positioning and floats for the various content vertically.

It took alot of playing around with to get it right, but I think it was well worth the time...

http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/ is a great resource to check your site for any CSS related errors...

Good luck . . . Nice site with alot to manage . . . take care!

Cheers,
By the way that is a turkey not a chicken. Our theme this month is “Thanksgiving Specials”; therefore we use this turkey to represent that. We add a little a little humor because that’s what my company wants and we have had a lot of positive feedback from our customers. If you look at the hit counter we have had almost 30,000 customers in the past 2 months. This is my first website, the company owner paid over forty-thousand dollars for the previous two websites, they were horrible, so I was moved from the shipping department and thrown into a three day crash course on website design which I have had no prior experience whatsoever. So I do appreciate the criticism, but please remember this is my first website and we are getting over 1,000 visitors a day, with a high purchase rate so something has got to be working with this site.

Three words for ya:

LOSE THE TURKEY.

(Or at least that annoying gobbling noise. IT INTERRUPTED WEIRD AL! THE BLASPHEMY! THE HORROR!)

Your biggest immediate issue is that of motion. The human eye is naturally drawn to motion, but when five things move at the same time (e.g. on your opening page), then the human brain becomes confused. What's important? What isn't? One, maybe 2 things should move at the most. Not 5.

I do realize that this is your first site, so I realize you're not going to have a lot of experience in this regard. But you HAVE to, HAVE to, HAVE to get rid of that cart. Prebuilt shopping carts generally don't work (your short-term success notwithstanding) because they create issues of poor code, inconsistent navigation, and inflexibility when it comes to customization. Your cart not only does all three of these things, but it also comes with Traffic Leech v. 1.0, also known as a hyperlink embedded on every product page that says Commerce enabled by WebStore .

Shopping cart programmers, designers, SEO types, and others that do this deserve the Beer for My Horses:

Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree
Round up all of them bad boys
HANG 'EM HIGH IN THE STREET
FOR ALL THE PEOPLE TO SEE!

All these people are doing is leeching direct (customer) and indirect (search engine PR/outbound link) traffic from your site, and you probably paid for their right to do so. That's pure, unadulterated BS on their part, and you shouldn't have to deal with it.

You would be very well served to learn a programming language (either PHP or ASP) and build your own cart. Besides really learning a language (which will serve you in very good stead later on), you'll be able to build something customizable and that meets the needs of your company.

Simply put, shopping cart software S-U-C-K-S, sucks, sucks, sucks, sucks, SUCKS! Did I mention that it SUCKS? Yeah, you get the idea.

Next issue...you have next to no plain text on your opening page. Besides being a faster load than graphics, it's better from a search engine standpoint because search engines use plain text to figure out what a page is all about. You NEEEEEED the plain text.

Next issue: your copyright line is almost illegible. Make it plain text too, if you can.

Basically, I think you've got an okay start. You just haven't got an okay website yet, and you got a bunch of work ahead of you.
