Website Review and Suggestions

Would like your honest opinions on my latest site. As in the layout, first impressions and so on, also would you use the site if you yourself had something to swap/sell/buy/ or wish for?
Please be honest i dont get upset easily.

That's a nice, clean looking layout. And that seems like it might be a nice idea. Good luck with the endeavor.

I'd definitely think about using that site, but something like eBay may make the selling part difficult. The swapping and wishing are great.

Great idea for a website. I'd spice up the design a bit, while keeping it subtle. I like the header banner.

Good site! I like the design - simple and clean. I think that maybe some sort of rollover effects on the links would make it even better. I also think you could have a background colour on the main header links - maybe it's just me but i was sort of 'waiting' for a colour to appear and i think it would help to make them stand out and draw the eye to them.

Use orange color instead of blue.

Blue is business color. Orange is an attractive and energetic color.

Also give the header navigation a background color.

I hope you've already submited your website to bunch of directories too...

The header is the best, but it could be lighter and brighter still. I don't think you need to have the 'wish sell swap at swapshopz.com' I think you should remove that, and move the 'wish' 'sell' 'swap' with the hands and text underneath just below the login. Then the text which is currently squashed on the right can span the width of the column underneath this. The navigation on the left can be moved up a bit and the navigation menu across the top could be more interesting. It should span the width of the site and perhaps give it a background and dividing lines between each link.

I hope this doesn't sound too critical, I want your site to look its best and you wanted honest opinions... best of luck!!

You should add some finance related categories like business loans, personal lons, car loans, etc...

The "Wish Sell Swap" graphic is taking up real estate you need. Your welcome content is pushed over by it. I would take the graphic out along with the pointing fingers. Maybe put the login above the banner and left-align the menu. I see alot of sites with the categories followed by a number of how many in each like you have it. My personal opinion is have the number first. It would make more sense to see "32 Books" and "54 Collectibles". Good layout tho

Nice site. My first impression is, it's well put together. I'd suggest that the welcome which is to the right of the graphic be moved to just below it. As it is, it looks unbalanced to me. The box at the bottom is also in need of something. I suppose you have something in mind for it.
Over all it's a good looking site. I look forward to following up on it's progress.

I like the site and will consider using it.
Some comments:
1) Clickability/ Navigation
Top left header logo is not clickable. It is also clickable when you go to other pages and therefore not easily navigable.
Also in the intro " It is FREE to register and FREE to sell." in homepage is not clickable

2) Easy viewing
IMHO would be better if all items "Wish Sell Swap" be pushed above the fold since all can be squeezed above the fold.

3)Categories
Preferably, should add summary of all categories above the fold maybe like in a directory. You can still have the categories on the left hand navigation as it is.

4) Consistency/ Symmetry
Should it be SELL instead of SALE in top banner line?
Also the terms "Wish Sell Swap" should be consistent throughout . At top left it says "Swap Sell Buy Wish" ...in top line it says "SALE WISH SWAP" and in the centre they say "Wish Sell Swap"
