I don't know if you guys have noticed.....but recently I see a surge in SPAMMERS pretending to be web designers with really ugly websites clearly edited in a pre-built template.

Honestly this leaves out the good ones...People who are actually looking for good advice rather than someone looking for traffic to their website. How many people agree?

Sorry, but I'm just adding a reply to this thread, so that it doesn't get listed under the replyless ones.

And to post something on this topic: I think the administration of this board or the ones responsible for creating this subforum knew that people would try to get traffic through this and that's why I think they made the right decision with the 1:1 ratio rule.

I agree and I disagree.

I agree that there are clearly spammers looking for traffic gain, and that's going to happen regardless of how closely the board is monitored.

However, I think the mods generally do a good enough job of weeding out the clear spammers vs. the actual posters so that we don't need to spend too much time worrying about it ourselves.
