Website Review and Suggestions

I'm looking for any and all comments on this website I know the font is kinda weird I'm trying to work with the owner on choosing a new one now but any comments are great. http://www.homeforyourmemories.com

please note, these are only MY thoughts, no disrespect is intended...

You're right about the font, it needs to change, it's too hard to read.

The site doesn't say anything to me about what she does. Maybe add some pictures of some houses. Look at some other realestate websites and see how they look.

Real Estate is a personal professional business. I think one of the biggest things is having a professional image. After all image is part of what get's her clients.

She wouldn't go out to meet clients in ripped jeans and a dirty tank top.

again, these are just my thoughts, you asked!

I could live with the font if the background image was lighter. The major issue is contrast between the two layers. Some people really like the script look and your buyer may not be willing to change.

The yellow logo over in the right hand top corner looks mis-placed. I would move it to the left avove or better yet below the picture. In doing that the agent's name becomes the focus of the page as it should be since it is her site.

I looked at the site using ie7 at 1024x768 and still had to scroll to read the text. I would change that.

I would agree that the marriage of font and background is distracting.
Whereas colbyt found it necessary to scroll using IE7 at a screen resolution of 1024x768 I found using the same resolution in IE6 that although the horizontal scrollbars were in evidence I did not need to use them. Incidently to test this I reduced the window size to about a quarter full size and found that I still did not need the scroll bars.

Change the font. In overall it looks like a personal site and i think it should look like a professional commercial site.

OK, here I go. You need to play a bit more with the whole thing. It looks empty and your links are changing position depending which page you're on. Also the fonts are not very readable. Generally I wouldn't use italics.
And the last thing....loose the tables. CSS div containers give you much more freedom and if you need to change something in the future they are much easier to modify.
