I would try & put a custom theme on there also & I would move the adsense banner to the top & not have it on the side.

You have a good range of topics & the mod contest, not bad & will probably work.

Oh 1 more thing, I don't like the way the boxes change to orange, try something a bit more subtle like a blue.
