Website Review and Suggestions

Hi all

Ive just had another site dumped on me and I have recently made it dynamic. If some of you would please give it the once over and slate or praise it to your hearts content I would be much obliged.

It's a nicely done site -- only 2 things I would recommend...

1. Clean up the NavMenu by making 2 - 3 description names; when they run into 2 lines, it looks amateurish.

2. You only have 2 coding errors:

line 80 column 5 - Warning: <img> attribute value "Welcome to the Bespoke Group" must be lower case for XHTML
line 80 column 5 - Warning: <img> attribute "align" has invalid value "welcome to the bespoke group"

I think the "B" in the logo should be outlined in white..

Aside from what was already suggested you should fix.

Keywords:This tag contains too many characters.
This tag contains 640 characters. This is too many for what we would consider a 'robot friendly' web page. The maximum number of characters we recommend for this tag is 500.
Keyword relevancy to page content is terrible. However, this is not necessarily bad if you have a lot of content. The most important factor is to have your keywords on the page a few times.
The keywords relevancy to page content is 21%.

Don't know how long you've been doing websites, but I wouldn't place too much emphasis on what "SubmitExpress" say's about websites.

I have tested many systems out and submitexspress works quite well. It got me top postions. It can for anyone to.

All of the professional SEO's I know, run sites that are error-free and also have "#1 SE Rankings" ... they'll tell you that errors do mean alot; especially if your site(s) don't show properly in all browsers -- IMO, anyone claiming to be an SEO needs to know many aspects about the business.

I am not really concerned with being number one under search engine optimization. In fact I could care less, anybody who just starts a website doesn't say oh I need to get it optimized. They say hmm I wonder why there number 1. Then they search web dev forums for answers. That is where 85% of my business comes from. I am number 1 in several seo terms. As to the errors thing I agree, but you don't have to be perfect to get listed. I will fix up the seo site and such just so there is no arguments to that. Thank you.

If 85% of your business comes from "Dev Forums", I'd say you're not the SEO Expert you think you are, no matter what seo terms you use ... IMO, and those of far more highly experienced Webmasters who've been around for 10+ years, like myself, disagree with your analysis and strategy.

I've been building web sites for 10+ years

In the 'old days' keywords actually were king for search engines (pre-google). The fact is these days keywords are not what gets you top rankings, it's more attributable to incoming links and even Google will tell you that those are paramount to good rankings. The more incoming links you have, and RELEVANT links, the more popular your site gets 'rated' and the higher you should rank.

Good, ORIGINAL content is also a big factor. I don't waste a lot of time fretting about keywords on my sites. Sure, I use some very pointed ones, but I don't kill myself researching what words to use.

Also important, good titles, and clean, semantic markup - that means using REAL headings (h1-h6), paragraphs, etc.

Correct -- keywords (along with naming your site with no spaces between the words) won't get top rankings; but, "fresh content" is King!

I also agree with you on REAL headings; paragraphs; etc ... good call!

Travel Agent, thats not to say I couldnt be. Infact I am number one in some smaller terms. But at this point im not going to try and hash it out with the bigboys who chare 1000's to get peoples sites optomized. Sure it could be done in time but I dont feel its neccessary for my business. Thank you for your concern though and I will keep it in mind.

Thanks very much for your time and your comments. Ive got it within my goals for this upcoming google update so this time next month (fingers crossed) I may start to see some google changes. Ive done a little SEO in the past but I am no expert. But it looks like I have iot moving in the right direction.
