Finally it is done. My SEO website www.appliancezone.net is completed.
Thanks to "travelagent" all 756 of my pages pass W3C Markup Validation
Could you guys take a close look and tell me what you think and if I missed anything that could effect my rankings in the search engines? thx.
ps. for those who are looking to see where appliancezone is ranked in the search engines, just to let you know my rankings haven't started yet.

You might have passed validation for critical errors, but you've still got warnings.
You're using XHTML DTD yet you're using tables and <FONT> tags ?? XHTML means separating content from presentation, <font> tags should NOT be used and will throw out validation warnings. The use of XHTML (such as it is) should include NOT using tables for layout and utilizing CSS instead.
That white text on the light green background on your right and left menus is a very bad contrast, the white is difficult to see and anyone with any vision problems would have an even more difficult time with it. You need to be mindful of the color contrast. The contrast between background and text is equally difficult on the 'find parts' page.
Overall the design is nice.

The only code warning I see at the present time is "steelblue" is not a valid HTML color code; you might want to correct that.
LadynRed is correct in what she told you -- but, you might want to review the different types of doctype declarations, and try each one, until your site validates as shown here
She's also correct about the white text being difficult to see; with the color scheme you currently have, change your text to a blue and it will show alot better.

thats my "web special" table border color. anyone have a blue color code that would be valid? I thought the steel blue would be, guess not.
I'll see what I can do about everything else, thx guys.
Now, what do you guys thinks about my site getting ranked in the serch engines, with the major keywords like: appliance parts, whirlpool appliance parts, ge appliance parts, maytag appliance parts, frigidaire appliance parts, ect.
Do you think I'll have a chance of getting ranked up there?

Your site is okay as far as I can tell but you might want to use flash so you can have a flash video of how your products are good and why they are good

This is a pretty nice site, and my first impression is quite good...I have no complaints...But one suggestion, instead of getting a flash banner, how about a simple .gif? If you can do them right, they can look quite nice.

HB - for a complete up-to-date HTML color chart, use what many Webmasters now use -- it's called Hype's
As for your keywords getting you ranked, that's no problem -- but, the problem (if you want to call it a problem) is, how many more sites who have the highest rankings above you, use the same keywords?
Look at the first 10 sites in all 3 SE's; look at their source code and look at their keywords -- copy/paste these into Notepad and compare yours to theirs; make any necessary adjustments; be sure and don't over-do your keywords -- try and keep them to a maximum of 7 if you can, and don't repeat the same word more than 3 times.

tidy up code to get rid of warnings
then update your title and description tags
especially on your index page
google as high regards for these tags along with relevancy of them to your page content
they both should vary page to page and reflect what's in body of html content
have title be 5-8 words without repitition and keywords in there. ensure title is relevant to content
description should be one to two well written complete sentences without stop words like "free", "best deal", "#1" and the like
also should have keywords, without repitition, and relevant to page content
these two tags should be in every page, and be different for every page, reflecting that page's content
this will help google rankings
couple this with gaining quality backlinks and you're on the right road to se rank success
good luck

HB - one thing I did see in your HTML code is something you need to delete, as what I have bolded down below is HTML symbols and should not be a part of the title:
<title>Appliance Zone ››› Appliance Parts & Accessories</title>

On first viewing your site it looks really attractive.
The problem comes when reading your text, I found this really difficult. I'm not sure if this was caused by the small size, the striped background, the colour contrast or a combination of these. Certainly to make your site more accessable you need to allow visitors to resize the text.
I see there have been comments about your header, I think it's great.
Without going all through your site you seem to have a very useful resource.
I can't begin to imagine how much effort you have put into this and feel you are to be congratulated for that.

I thought those arrows would really stand out in the search engines, so far only Yahoo has a problem reading my arrows " ›››" look like this """. which still doesn't look bad. Is that the only reason why you though I should remove them?

SE's won't read that HTML symbol as text, which is what you want -- all of the SE's and browsers will display them as the "pipe" ( | ) on your keyboard; that's not a good thing, as you only want text in the title tag.

Thx I really appreciate that aldor. I see that there are a few complaints on the text now so I'll see what I can do to fix that.
thx everyone.

I see what your saying, so should I replace my "›››" with just the basic ">>>"

No sir -- what I'm saying is, don't have any symbols in your title tag ... just a keyword phrase that describes your site's content such as:
Appliance Zone -- Accessories and Parts Headquarters

NP - the reason I phrased it like that is because of the alphabet -- the closer you place your title keyword phrase to the letter "A", you'll hopefully get higher rankings ... you could even try -- Accessories and Parts Headquarters -- The Appliance Zone ... see what I mean?
