first of all, Geocities is not good.
The first thing that comes in mind is that your company is really chep (in a bad way).

As far as design - looks good, industrial .
only one thing... on 1024X768 resolution it looks like the whole thing stock to the top

6/10
keep up the good work

Very plain, there is a lot of white space here. Try adding some content, or making some bigger graphics to take up some of the space. Also, in your meta tags, add a description, keywords, and shorten your title tag. That is way to long for a title tag.

On other thing is change the rollover effect for your links. The red background with white lettering is just unprofessional. Also, the Prices link changes to blue on rollover so you cannot see the link at all.

Last thing, you MUST get rid of GeoCities. A free website for a professional company will never work. You may as well not even have the site if you are going to use a free service.

5/10

I agree with the other posters. Web site hosting is SO cheap these days there really is no feasible reason not to have your own domain and hosting. Rather than draw the ire of dozens by suggesting a host, I would encourage you to find the right forum here and asks suggestions.

That said, I don't think your design is that bad. My one pet peeve is labeling things that don't need labeling, like the "The date is...". You have done that with "Navigation." In my experience the people who tend to do this are those who are new to web design. If that's the case here, no problem. But really, lose it.

I like your banner graphic reasonably well and your marketing slogan is clever. You have organized your information well, but you need to sell your service more. For example, your "Service" page contained 22 words when I read it. Tell me more about what you do. Convince me that I NEED you.

I agree with jammin on your hyperlink rollover. My recommendation would be to change the foreground only.

Good, solid site design. Somewhat plain, but not a bad site at all. Good luck.

Thanks for the replays

OK.

I am not planning on using geocities for the business. It’s just for getting comments on it. I am going to read about domains and hosting in these forms and then get a domain.

I made some of your suggestions:

I am working on the other suggestions.

Thanks for the suggestions,

Its simple, but fairly effective, and as Montero said, gives a good industrial and business-like atmosphere. Needs more content. I love the slogan! lol!

i like the site - it is clean, simple and pleasing to the eye! I glad that you will be moving the site to its own domain name - this is essential - especially for commercial sites.

Try and format your "appointments" form better - place in a table so that it look more aligned. You need to make the coupons more legible and when someone clicks on them - make them appear in a pop- window....

I hope the site does well for you

You site is very clean and simple looking.

The one thing I did not like is the navigation. I believe in the simplier the better. Instead of having the buttons expand out. List them all. What good are details if you do not know they are there. 50 % of all people scan the page. If they do not see the buttons to the side that 50% my just leave.

Also add more key words to your home page. This helps will also keep people longer and help your search engine rating.

Nice clean site. Not cluttered with a lot of uneeded things. I did notice a typo here http://www.geocities.com/jrscarpetcl...es/prices.html . Toward the bottom, "Schedual" should be "Schedule". Other than that and things already mentioned by the others, it's a great site. 7.5-8.0/10
