It's quite a nice site - easy to navigate.
A couple of points: - A smaller text size might save space and make the page easier to take in. Try 12.
- On your non-forum pages, you're header is large with a lot of blank space. Maybe you could try and eliminate some of the blank bits - maybe a bit less padding around the title.
- The title has some good effects, although have you considered any other fonts to spice it up a bit? Leave the colour combo and all though.
- Perhaps make the non-forum pages look more like the forum or vica-versa. This means the site will blend better. You could make the background colour and navigation identical in each.
One last suggeston. Being as the main purpose of the site is the discussion forums, could you house the content for the entire site into the forum template. Kind of like webmaster-talk. 
I think it might cut out any unnessesary content and get right to the point.
