Funny site, needs review

Hey I just recently gave my site a new cooler look, switch hosts from tripod to onedollarhosts.net, got a domain name for it ( http://www.gnat1134.com ). Please review anything and everything about it that you like or dislike about the layout, look, organization, and content of the page.
The top of the page is a bit taller than it will eventually be. I had to make it that tall to cover up the ads on tripod after I got too anxous to release the new look before I got a new host. To see what it will look like just scroll down a little bit. Also if you like the tall title setting rather than a shortened version let me know that as well.
Thank you for putting the time into looking at my site and don't be afraid to be too critical, be honest. If you need me to review one of your sites let me know. Thanks,
- Nat

Gnat,
Nice site and I actually like your weird sphere image. It made me sit up and take notice.
On the nav menu, you need to get rid of those extremely offset drop shadows under the link texts. It's distracting and adds nothing. Although I'm not a fan, it actually doesn't detract too much from the text in the banner, but consider reducing the offset between the text and the shadow.
On your image galleries, find a way to display pictures on your page instead of launching a new browser with only the image displayed. I would have looked at more of your pics, but I found it annoying to having to keep killing browsers.
Reconsider the practice of labeling your menu as "Menu." People know.
Overall, gnatt -- not bad at all for a personal site. Nice color scheme and you have a lot of content for your audience. At the end of the day, people visit sites for content, so you're ahead of the game.

I really like the colour scheme and graphics.
The offset text is way to far offset!
The website could be improved by having a few well chosen photos to break up the text.

You may want to use a better font instead of arial for the main text. The transparency with the title graphic looks great for a personal site. It's slightly too wide for my 800*600 res.

Nice looking site.
I thoroughly enjoy the color scheme. The changes between the gradient blue is a very subtle, clean change.
The transparency, in addition to, the glowing orb header image, is a really nice touch to the site.
The only complaint that I would like to bring about is that the green headers don't really serve to compliment the color scheme. I'm not sure exactly what color would go along better with your already marvelous blue scheme, but I'm sure that you will think of something that better suits your site.

The site is nice, above average for a personal one. And you definitely have a lot of good looking girls around (Claire, your sister etc.). Bravo.
Cheers

Nat,
I like your site a lot. It's a nice and unique design, in my opinion.
The above poster is right - you do seem to have a lot of pretty girls in your life! And from what I can see on your page, you seem like a really good guy yourself.
Best wishes!

I always say this to every one of these websites I see that have an unnatural whitespace on the right of the screen. I think it would look better if you made the site completely fluid and span across the screen. I say this because of your iceball(?) looks like it is essential that it is at the corner. I like that energy thing too. But some things that I don't think go very well is the neon green. Hurts my eyes a little and the javascript rollover links are kinda wishy-washy too. Your other colors are pretty good. And I'm glad to see a site without the 2/3-column cliche. Good work!

Nice site. Very Funny. Cool Color. I especially think that the updates on the bottom are a nice touch to encouage people to come back. I agree with the weird shadows. It needs to go. Also, if you could make it so whenever you clicked on an image, it opened in a new window, but if a new window was already open, it would change that window and not open up a new one.

Very nic personal site. Did you make the image big glowing sphear thing yourself. However it does seem to have problems connecting, it tock me three tries and it seems to be quite heavy on the downloading.

have to agree about that drop shadow ... but I like the glow on mouseover ... of course you are going to lose that tripod reference on your header and fix the update date , seems it doesn't sync with your notes on the page ... and maybe your host will give you a better email addy than hotmail ... something with your domain name would be nice ... seems to me that your host should provide site stats ?? site loaded really fast for me but it is the middle of the night ... don't know much about your host ... but seeing that this is a personal site maybe the malfunctions and bad load times don't matter to you ... might want to shop around though ... interesting color scheme ... the green is a tad bright for me , but again it is a personal "fun" site ... overall good job .... 7.5 / 10

I like the layout, colors and images. Nice job. I also like the quote "Most nerds have tape on their glasses... I roll up one pant leg". I also enjoyed your "funny stuff" page. Your site has a kind of feel that The Onion has. Good job!

Nat hi
I love the site.
First there is nothing at all wrong with a site thats essentially a playground and learning place but has the flip side of being a place for fun that you can post photos of friends and events and fun things etc etc just for fun and just because you can! I have done the same and so when I read your about this site I agreed straight away.
It was fun and though initially I wasnt sure about the colours they grew on me quite quickly and I love the shape of the content boxes etc.
You can tell that 2 yrs of work have gone into this its well thought out and laid out. Content in just the right place and one thing that has really given me an idea was the updates section. I hope you dont mind but its one that I will be stealing !! he he
Well done well done !
Tonya
