Website Review and Suggestions

Hi,
I run a web hosting business website in Australia. This is not an attempt to get free advertising. I am sincerely seeking peoples opinion of the design and layout. Its not 100% finished yet, the "Hosting", "Reseller", "Support", "Affiliate" and "Contact" pages aren't completed. I'm feeling fairly happy thus far, its taken a long while to get to this point. All my own work and I would really appreciate some peoples comments, ideas, criticisms & feedback etc.

It's nicely laid out, and is pretty "standard" as far as ISP sites go -- only problem I see is the "Live Chat" ... you sleep like everyone else, so I'd either remove that or make sure you have someone available 24/7 to monitor the live chat.

Now, for the rest of my review:

Your site is missing a <!DOCTYPE Declaration> which is mandatory for most current markup languages, and without one, it's impossible to reliably validate a document. The DOCTYPE defines the version of the document like -- HTML 4.0.1, XHTML 1.0, 1.1, ...etc.

Nice site - I especially like the picture of the servers on the front.

At the very bottom of most of your pages you have a broken link:

The text embedded in the image on your "status" page is a bit pixellated. Maybe you can anti-alias that a bit more.

I'm connecting from Massachusetts and it's fairly sluggish - but that may be irrelevant if your clients are all Aussies.

Very colorful, I like the color scheme. It seems very managable and filled with appropriate info. The image at the bottom below your site links when I visited failed to load, otherwise A+

I hate to say this but it looks like every other website that sells your product. But otherwise its nice.

I have to agree with rambler. You really need something to set you apart from all of the other webhosting companies. There is way too much white/blank space throughout the site design. Its simplistic, but thats good for the common user. Not a whole lot about the site would catch my eye, and depending on how you look at it, the site makes your business look cheap and unreliable. I hope what Im saying is not too harsh, Im just giving my input. Hopefully what I said can give you an idea on what to change and sharpen things up with your current design.
