1. Turn off the freaking flashing text.
2. Use Arial/Verdana/Tahoma instead of Times New Roman.
3. Make your menu buttons bigger. (Not the ones on the left! But the ones in your banner.)
4. Put a border around your banner and leave some space between it and the actual site.

6. I advice you use no border IN your tables only a solid 1 or 2 pixel one AROUND your table.

Flashing text is still there, so don't bother -- I left in under 2 seconds!

Yes. Turn the flashing text off! it's annoying. Try considering MouseOver MouseOut instead.

Please get rid of the flashing text...

You may want to make the "Air Conditioning UK" heading bigger.

Also your other headings (down the page a bit) need a better contrast to the background, try making them darker.

Overall your website is not bad.

First thing, I think the design is very good.
Although I would make the following corrections:

- Add some padding to the top banner with your company name. Maybe you could implement a logo of some sort
- Change the font from Times New Roman to a more modern font.
- Change the colour of the footer font to a darker colour.
- Remove the table borders.
- Align the left side navigation links to the left instead of centered.

I would personally change the font type to something else, i would remove the table's border, i would also make the background for the area at right white so the images would go with it, oh yeah i might also change the Text on top to a logo. Hope this helps.

I would add some mouse over effect, and a more interesting banner. Other then those two things, and the flashing text it looks good. Good luck with it

Many thanks for all your comment,s i have been working hard over the last week to update my site ..... still have some changes & content to add.

Would like you oppions on the updates so far.
( Tahoma text added )
( mouse over buttons created )
( white background added )

( Going to create new Logo & image to header soon !!! )

Well, you heard the people - remove the flashing text!

If they had momentarily put up with this though, then they would have seen a fairly good website with lots of good points too.

Sure, theres room for improvement, soI will list some suggestions:

1. Once the flashing text is gone, use CSS for a simple rollover effect in which the color changes.
2. Sort out that weird bit of table that is located around the bottom-left
3. Spice up the banner a little - it just seems a little plain at the moment

With a little more work, this will be a nice site - well done

newuser you have to remove the flashing text. Angelosanto may very well be right and we may all be missing a good site if we'd be willing to put up with the flashing text, but the truth is as soon as people see that text flashing on and off they will leave the site.

You can make all the improvements in the world and it won't make a difference if the text keeps flashing. Like I said in my first post I won't spend even a few seconds trying to help you improve things unless you turn off the flashing text. There isn't any point doing anything else while that text is flashing.

I like the design!! its good!! Color combination and Layout is good. Nice, cool site!!

The only drawaback i feel is that you must change the logo for your site. The logo must be attractive and related to the web site content. Secondly, you need to use different colors (matching) for the anchor text when hovering the mouse over it.

Gav it's much better when I look at the site in Internet Explorer. The text is still flashing in Firefox. You need to go into your style sheet and remove every occurrence of the word 'blink'

Sorry I keep mentioning it, but I can guarantee no one will ever stay on the site if they see it.

But it does look pretty good in IE. I think the design is simple and easy to navigate. I would like to see something more in the logo. Even if it was just a more interesting font or punched up with color it would improve the logo.

I'd also prefer a sans-serif font for the main text. Times New Roman can be hard to read online particularly when it's smaller. Try verdana, arial, and helvetica.

Overall I think you've done a good job.

Hi newuser,

I like your menu, its looking very good, but you should make some splitters between buttons, see how other ppl doing it. Your header is a bit skewed, so work on it..you also missing a logo. Add some footer elements and try to ket your concept on higher level. Work with your content, move things around see how it looks.

Don't give up, i noticed your menu first thing so just enhance it a little with some small splitters.
