Looks good to me. The vertical lines of text underneath 'UK DVD DISCUSSIONS' look like sound bars, which is to with DVDs and stuff, so that's good.

On IE6 at 800*600 resolution, the menu bar overlaps the word FORUM in your heading. Also, I think the particular shade of purple is a tad saturated, and should be more like the purple used in the scrollbars.

This needs careful rewording in order to attract people to your forum

The title font is ideal - its REALLY similar to the official DVD logo isn't it! Dead clever!

I would suggest a catchy slogan that introduces the sort of topics that you would talk about here. This should hook visitors and help turn them into members!

Its all a bit dark, but it works well. Good job and good luck with the forum.

I do like the overall look of the website, but it is kind of boring, needs a little more enerfy in it. But good start.

Hi

I like the colour scheme, maybe that’s my dark side showing through. I like the dropdown menus.

I think the front page is a lot to take in maybe you could break the forums down into different category and have links to each category on your front page, a bit like web-master.

When you get a decent amount of users it is going to be a hive of activity

Isn't this a template forum? How much design did you have to do? Choose a color scheme and a couple of logos. It's nice and goes together quite well, plus looks professional. You have put it together really well, but no prize for orginality. 4/10

Your forum design looks very good! One thing that throws me off however is the navigation bar for "Home, Forums, DVD Releases, etc". That kinda messes up the look of the forums and just doesnt look like it fits right. The bg color does not go in well with your top image, so that may be the reason. Also on the bottom of the forum the New posts, no new posts, and forum is locked are spaced out too far and there is too much of a gap from the login section and Powered by phpBB part.
