Its clean, and lean. Be honest, I can take it. It validates as XHTML 1.0 Transitional and CSS.

Let me know

It's a little plain but you seem to make it work ok. My suggestions are:

1. Designer a good header/logo to go on top of the website.
2. change the colour of that red title - it just looks out of place.
3. I'm sorry but those navigation buttons are awful! the colors really don't work together!

Not a bad little site though - well done

Not bad, but my immediate question was -- "What does the Grand Canyon have to do with design?" ... I'd certainly get rid of that and come up with a banner / logo that pertains to what you do.

Secondly; your portfolio leaves alot to be desired -- those images need to be much larger!

Third; all of your text is way too light -- darken it up.

Create more designed layouts for the page. Don't use pointless graphics.

try find another photo instead and majorcolour should blend in with background colour. Text looks blur.

Use serif fonts for special text (titles, etc.), and sans-serif fonts for the main content, instead of the other way around. The text is also very small, and it would help to have a little more padding on the edges. I don't see a clear logo. On the navigation, there is a dotted line on top... but on the bottom it is only under the text, making it look bad. Add rollover effects to the links. And it is XHTML, not X HTML (on the home page).

with my limited experience in web design, i agree with the above, although I am still working on perfecting mine. Keep up the good work though.

Also try to observe or set your color scheme. if you want a neutral color, then use only grey, Black and white silver.

For me a bit too simple, only white and gray colours. I also don't like fonts used for Home Portfolio - try use other font or create more interesting effect.

Needs some work i think. Seems very plain. You should do some research into colour schemes and see what works on other sites. I am not saying by any means copy other websites but find colour that work together.

I have an awesome website which has some really cool designs which may give you some ideas to improve your site.
I am new here and don't know whether i can drop websites in the forum.
I will PM it to you if you like.

Everyone loves to jump in and start building a site, but i think research is the most important thing. It gives a you a little more perspective when designing sites.

Look at and write down ideas from 20 to 30 other sites before building.

Hope this helps!

Not bad.. but not great either.

- The pale gray text is too light, the contrast needs to be much more distinct.
- I don't really think the graphics you've used fit very well with the content for each page.
- the menu is ok, I don't have any problem with the fonts, I think they're fine.
- color - well, color is highly subjective, but maybe a bit of color would help.
- BIG one - the writing in your content needs a LOT of work - spelling, grammar, missing words, and just plain wordsmithing. You repeat yourself in several places and the way it's written is just not good. If you're not good at it, find someone who is and re-write it.

- code ok, it validates, css could be trimmed with a bit of shorthand.
