Website Review and Suggestions

This is fairly good. I do have a couple of suggestions though:

1. I really don't like sites with horizontal-scroll. It's just annoying.
2. In the info sections (e.g. the band schedule) all of tht white text is just lumped together which makes it a little hard to differentiate between labels, titles, dates etc.
3. Finally, a minor criticism, in the reel of photos, the one with the tree in looks really out of place as the rest of the pics are dark and this one is light. I'd consider changing that.

I do like this site though - great photos and graphics and good use of colour

Good job... I wish some of the local bars here has sites that easy to navigate and understand. I really like how visual it is... keep up the good work.

Horizontal scroll? Where? I hate horizontal scroll too and I'm pretty sure I don't see any. Is there a way you could show me a screenshot? Thanks for the input.

Looking at it again... I would suggest using a different font. You may be doing so but I do not have it on my computer. May I suggest Verdana or Arial?

I have a feeling he is using a low res like 800x600... people, dont use that res >_> its ugly

Anyways, for a bar site, it looks great. The bar looks awsome

i would change the font of the site.. to somehting like Arial or Tahoma, and also the MySpace link change the color of the link from blue to something more readable...

Uhhh.. people DO still use 800x600 and yes, that is where the horizontal scrolling is coming from. While all designers surely wish 800x600 was firmly in it's grave for good, the truth is it is NOT DEAD. I still design my sites so they will work at that lower resolution, I don't need to alienate anyone.

I don't think the white text is a problem. However, Times-Roman just isn't a great font for the web. What is not clear is the default blue link text color over the black. THAT I would consider changing.

The site LOOKS nice.. but the code is a nightmare - typical GoLive garbage.

OK you've got the feel, the design is inline with the kind of business, but you'd better put a smaller nice picture instead of that big heavy one. Change the size of the fonts, it's too small or just change it with the simple fonts such as verdana (use size '2').

cool design. I think the reason i like it is because it is "different". It is not everyday you see sites like this one.

Like the design overall, good pictures of the bar. Really appreciate that all the important information is right there on one page.

Agree with everyone on the font issue. White small Times is a pain to read, but you have many ways to fix it: replace with sans-serif font, increase spacing between the lines a bit (that will improve the tables), increase the font size a little.

Another big concern is that there's almost no information above the fold for people with low resolution displays (even x768 and x800). Someone might miss out on the content (trying to click on the "info" which isn't a link and then giving up).

Optimize Your images. (Slice at the top is more than 300kb)
Change Times font.
Make content more readable (looks messy)

looks good but why Black backround it dulls the effect of the site, why not use a neutral colour like light blue- its more fun too which is what you are promoting

I like the site and I think you have done a great job. It was loading fast for me and the pictures look good. The code is a nightmare as stated above, so you might want to clean that up!

Nice graphics, but you should separate some information to subpages to avoid horizontal scroll-bar.
