I looked at both the flash and HTML versions, I think design wise the site looks good. But in the SEO dept it needs some work. I would post in the SEO talk section about your site, Travel agent, Adam and Learning newbie will be of help their!
I'm not touching that one with a ten-foot pole (as in the TA/Shannon issue.)
As far as the site goes, I don't think it's too simple. I think it's too hard to read. The font size is way too small and isn't adjustable in IE.
If you're going to be selling web design services in the UK, you would be well-advised to take a long look at the British Disability Discrimination Act. You've got a number of errors on your site that would combine to pose some violations of that act (missing alt attributes on images or identical alt attributes on different images, fixed size text, etc.)
The same would go for any of your clients where you've done all Flash work (I saw one of those).
Before you deal with the SEO stuff, deal with those issues first.
Thank you for posting the comments! I do admit that I´m not entirely there yet, and I do not know so much about SEO, so I know now where to look and what to learn! Will also adjust the fonts, more people complain about that.

Yep totally agree about the text size, I had to squint to see it!
The BNIB have a superb section of their site at http://www.rnib.org.uk/xpedio/groups...nib008789.hcsp - it's jam packed full of good information
To my knowledge no-one in the UK has really been brought to task about non-accessible sites yet but it's probably only a matter of time!
i would suggest to make your content stand out more, to me it looks like text just sitting on a white page, could be me though i am using a high resolution screen 1600 x 1200, i would make up a background just around the content of the page, give it a colour, some curved edges, your imagination could lead you to many different ideas.
