I started a macromedia forum

and im not familiar with a lot of programs (i am with flash, director, dreamwweaver, and fireworks. so some help would be good

Well, you are running a macromedia forum, yet there is nothing to do with macromedia products on here. You need to add a bunch of forums. IE: Dreamweaver, Flash, Cold Fusion etc. You need to add a forum for each of the macromedia products, then just a couple of forums that are about coding for each. That way people can post snippets of code for help, or help others with their coding problems.

The top logo does not work for me. That is a poor version of the Macromedia logo. Since you have the waiver at the bottom, get an official macromedia logo and place it up there. It will look professional, because it is, and make your site look a lot better.

Last thing, try to lighten up the site a bit, color wise. It is really dark and at times difficult to read stuff. Take a look at the official Macromedia website and get it as close to their color scheme as possible.
