Yeah, if you got a nice logo as opposed to simple text for the banner I think it would look nicer. Although maybe the text is appropriate as it's a text links site. I dunno. Also, in 800x600 the site doesn't quite squeeze in, it's only a few pixels off but it could be very irritating for any 800x600 viewers.
The links below the header are slightly larger, which is maybe on purpose but to me looks clumsy. Also, the site is mainly done using tables, not advisable but it works!
Also, though I sound very negative I think your site looks really lovely.
