Hey,
I just redesigned my website http://pyrez.com. I am currently not the greatest with CSS, i'm used to imageready layouts . But the main issue was the color scheme, it is much different from the previous layout. It of course is not completed. But i would really appreciate some feedback of what you guys think so far so i can take that into consideration as i complete the site.

It isn't bad, but it took me about 15 seconds to figure out what your site is about -- strongly suggest you tell visitors more about your site and how to use it, etc.

You didn't have that many code warnings, but they should be cleaned up for validation to ensure your site displays properly in all browsers:

Code:
line 12 column 1 - Warning: <img> element not empty or not closed
line 18 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 19 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 20 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 27 column 3 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 28 column 1 - Warning: <input> element not empty or not closed
line 29 column 1 - Warning: <input> element not empty or not closed
line 30 column 1 - Warning: <input> element not empty or not closed
line 32 column 1 - Warning: <input> element not empty or not closed
line 33 column 1 - Warning: <input> element not empty or not closed
line 35 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 36 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 37 column 43 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 40 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 48 column 99 - Warning: unescaped & or unknown entity "&zs"
line 49 column 91 - Warning: unescaped & or unknown entity "&afsid"
line 59 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 60 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 61 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 62 column 1 - Warning: <br> element not empty or not closed
line 12 column 1 - Warning: <img> lacks "alt" attribute

I like the design, but it does need jazzier colours I feel.

As the others said, I think you need to improve the colour choice in order for it to stand out better.

Also you site description is very small, and that banner ad is located way too close to it, it jumbles it up...

Better colours, size up your text and space things.

I'd rearrange the page as follows:

Put the descriptive text above the address bar.
Put the ad banner underneath the address bar (with just a little space between) - .
Put the proxy top site / top list buttons in the footer - I assume you need more clicks on the ad banner than on the proxy top list buttons.

Comments on actual proxy browsing:
I didn't appreciate the attempt to open 3 popup windows (they were all blocked). Could you put an ad banner next to the address bar? That way you will display ads to people with popup blockers and it will be less annoying than popups.

Taking the google simplicity approach? Nice, I know what the site is, but other people won't. Tell them it's a proxy to get around filters and stuff. If You can do that without crowding the website too much either, then it'll be nice.

I tend to agree with ReMo. If you hadn't told me what it was, I would have thought it was a search engine or something. It looks nice and simple, but I think you can modify your logo to include something like "Modified Web Browsing/Proxy Servers Made Simple" (by the way, the slogan is a bit hard to read).

Other than that and the coding that TA brought up, the only thing I can see that you may want to fix is that browsing to sites that use absolute positioning will throw your proxy server off (use the last one in my sig if you want an example).

I agree with the comments about the site not being descriptive enough. Also, I don't have a problem with your current layout of the objects on the page, but they need to be spaced out more. It will look much better if you space out the text, ads and search box.

Looks good apart from the graphics under the text. As most have already said all you realy need is to space out the graphics at the bottom of the page more. Other than that it looks fine
