I do realise that much more content needs to be added, but as I said, this will come with time.
There was a live demo for the skins, but its really hard to see, something i really need to address in the CSS file.
I have addressed that broken image, the sidebar modules website went down, so i've removed it.
Advertising is a real problem though. I do agree.

The two skins look nice from a thumbnail point of view, but I'd like to see a live demo before I download it. Maybe you should have two links for each instead of one? (Live preview and Download).
The Resources link in the menu doesn't work (just leads to the top of the current page).
Other than that, I say stay the course you're on. If you keep it original and real, you'll really have something. The only thing you may not be able to solve is advertising: it's difficult to find effective advertising for a tech-savvy, banner-blind market.
