Overall I think it's very nice.
Now, I'm no expert but I thing that using black text on gray background will make it difficult to read on some (poor) displays. Also using a level bar for health and shield alongside the numeric value will be better. Finally the red question marks on what I presume are unknown inventory items are too bright and it would be nice if you could use some antialiasing.
