http://www.aplusstyles.com:

The title "Where would you like to go today?" sounds like a slogan of Microsoft. Do you really want to relate to such major company?

The top image of the page looks cheap. I like to do website reviews and this must be the one piece of graphics I see all the time. You should consider changing that, it's not so good to use the same template graphics as everyone else.

There are quite bad graphical errors in the Forums and Websites pages when using Firefox.

Also, what is this website about? I have no idea, shouldn't your website say it? What is it, why it is for etc.

The navigation seems rather strange, first you select something between Forums and Websites. Then the layout changes and the Navigation text shows in the top right corner. If one clicks the Portfolio the entire layout is changed. It's very confusing and I still don't have an idea what the website is about. I guess the site is about your website design services but I don't really know since it doesn't say.

http://www.bbdimension.com:
Very fresh and neat look, I like it. However, consider dropping the animated left bar. All animations usually only distract people and make it very difficult to read anything, especially if the animated area is so large as it is here.

You have all the important logos and images at the very top, that's good. But the site lacks a footer, where does it say who you are? The copyright? The contact us page? Those links are usually in the footer. You should put the scrolling stuff from the left to the footer as well, or under it.

The text size selection doesn't work with Firefox. And what's the point of having a text size selection feature if most of the site seems to be made with pictures, I mean the feature doesn't enlarge the picture, right?

And you really should have some text as well on the front page. Just something to say who you are and especially show some key benefits (not features) of your services. Do you have a money back guarantee? Put it in. Do you have customer testimononials? Put them in. Do you have statistics of your servers uptime? If you do, put it to the front page. "Our servers have 99.99% historical uptime" could really boost your conversion rate.

Under the sub-pages the text is quite difficult to read because it's in such light shade of gray. Why not use a darker shade? It might not look as hip but it would be easier to read. Increasing the font size a bit wouldn't hurt either.

You could try to change the word "Order" to "Buy", selling pages with the word "buy" as the link or button text usually convert better. This is because the word "order" sounds like there would be a lot of work involved, filling in forms etc. while "buy" sounds like you give the clerk the money and walk away.

Finally, you should really tell something about yourself. Who are you, how long experience you have etc. What about a few photos of your employees?

Oh, I just noticed from your signature that you have been in business since 1996. Why don't you say that on your website? I mean clearly, right on the front page. That is major benefit to why someone should buy something from you instead some other company.

My main concern was mentioned above, in that it isn't clear what services you are offering from just staring at both home pages. Also, with http://www.aplusstyles.com, when I chose website design, I was presented with the forum skins. I do like the colours and neat design.

Thankyou for reviewing both of the websites, to stay professional I dont think its a good idea to put pictures of my staff online, however saying what i do and your other suggestions are good ideas. I have to work on aplusstyles.com alot more. The design changes because I cam remaking the design, the homepage design you see is the new design whereas the old design is the purple one.

thanks

A little content explaining what you do on aplusstyles.com would be nice. I got there and didn't really know what I was looking at. If you're going to open the site with a choice like that, I would like to know what I'm choosing between. Don't just show me "Forum Skins" and "Web Site Designs", tell me what I'm going to find in there. Without any content, people will be lost or bored. I honestly didn't feel much like clicking on either of them.

I eventually did click on the web design link and found another page with no content. Then when I clicked on portolio, I got what looked like a forum page with web design info. All of the header graphics talked about forums and forum skins. The web design portfolio didn't start till more than 1/2 way down the page.

I think for the most part your sites look very good. I would even say the LOOK great. You're definitely better in a graphics editor than I am.

But graphics with no real content will only hold viewers for so long. I know writing content is a pain in the butt and no one wants to do it. Especially on our own sites - if you've never noticed - but its got to be done. It took me 3 clicks to find out anything about your site. That's not a good thing.

Again, I think they look great. Thanks.

bbdimension.com was laid out much better. I thought that worked very well.

I agree with jv16 about the animated menu. I just don't think you need it.

This site looks to me like it will convert viewers to customers on a much more regular basis than the aplusstyles.com. I don't think you need your buttons laid out vertically like that, it takes up a lot of space, but they still work. As long as your important info is above the fold you're okay.

This one looks much better to me than the first site. But that's just one a-hole's opinion. Thanks.

Well, it depends on your visitors. Generally speaking people like to see pictures of people when browsing the web, not stock photos but real people. But there's really no point in wondering whether they want to see photos of your staff or not, do a/b split testing and see which one they prefer.

In my opinion, the only way to achieve a perfect (or almost perfect) website is testing. I don't know what people want, you don't know either, nor does any consultant, only the people know what they really want.

I considered that but thought not to, possibly I will ask for a further review in a few weeks time after I have dealt with all of the issues appropiately. I thankyou all for your valueable comments and as I said I have allready put some of them into practise, I plan to include a few more but am unsure where, when I made this design, my goal was to minimise the ammount of scrolling which the user has to do in order to read all of the content, and to make it not looked cramm packed full of content (too overloaded), so I am thinking of placing the testimonials on the left as far as the established section perhaps I will add that to the logo header, as for text increaser I am working on fixing that along with the side top menu which drops in from the site to reveal the hosting plans as that doesn't work in ie7. The colours I will take a look at near a later date.

thanks

I have only used tables where Div's have failed to display the page as intended because I hate using tables too.
