First impression;
-The initial page doesn't have a theme to it. When I first land on it, it doesn't immediately hit me as a Web Design, Art, Animation site. I need to read the logo to understand what the site is about. Aside from the references you have listed there, your site itself should also be a reference of its own.
-There is also a lack of consistency on the first page. You have a few menu items to the left and a few to the right. You might want to consider combining those two on one side so the page would look full instead of having empty real-estate to the lower sides of both columns
-adjust the width of your pages in a way that it would fit most users screen resolutions and they wont have to horizontally scroll on your pages.
-I would also recommend that you goto http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2006...signs-in-2006/ for some nice design ideas.. I am no way in shape or form affiliated with that site, but I like the designs on those pages especially because they are all CSS based.
